Online instruction offers a convenient, flexible alternative that enables students to fit classroom instruction regardless of geographic location. With an acute shortage of highly qualified American English teachers, online video training with live teachers located within the United States is a modern, effective approach to learning the English language. Online live training can dramatically reduce costs and make motivating curriculum immediately available to all students, while providing the highest quality training from certified teachers in America.
All American educators are highly qualified teachers with State certification
One teacher can teach many classes at the same time
Students can access any previously taught lessons through our Online Media Center anytime, 24 hours a day.
Our online instructors are rigorously screened, monitored, coached, and trained to offer maximum efficiency in the classroom.
Access to our Online Reference Library is quick and easy and available 24/7.
It's a known fact that learning from a live person produces a better understanding of the information that is being presented, as opposed to reading the material by oneself. This presents a problem of restricting the information presented to only those that have access to the live presenter. But in today’s high tech world, we have the opportunity to present the same information in a somewhat "live" presentation to many more people via live streaming video over the internet.
I2I Academy creates a fully interactive online classroom through “distance learning” that not only provides a cost-effective, efficient means to learn English from a highly qualified American teacher, but presents an engaging learning environment that fits the mold of the modern classroom in the 21st century.
The resulting understanding of the material is equal to an in-person live presentation in that we are still able to use sight and sound to create a real connection to the material being presented.
We remember what we see and hear, better than what we are simply told. We remember what we see and hear over 93% better than what we read. When we were young, our teachers used sight and sound by verbally presenting the subject matter and then writing the key points on the blackboard.
This time tested approach is easily duplicated via live streaming video over the internet.
How does it work?
Resources needed:
Our Academic Center in the United States has a computer with webcam connected over the internet, running online multimedia tutoring system
Classroom in Korea has a computer with webcam connected over Internet running online multimedia tutoring system. To improve the view, the computer screen is projected on to a large screen.
Process:
At scheduled time, the Teacher starts the online tutoring system in the United States and invites the class to join
The Classroom tutor logs to the tutoring program and establishes the connection with the teacher
They both can see, hear and chat with each other
Tutoring begins
Teacher uses the soft white board to write and draw
Can share documents and pictures
Class in interactive and teacher answers questions immediately
Whole session is recorded for viewing later
At the end home work is given and the Local Tutor will help in corrections
At the end class is dismissed
The local teacher provides support in consultation with the US teacher.
